Why I Became a Virtual Assistant
I became a Virtual Assistant at the height of Covid in 2020. I worked in the corporate world for over 30 years, from the medical industry, real estate industry and legal industry. Most of those positions were very rewarding and I learned a lot.
In the Winter of 2020, I was working for a Real Estate Firm. They give us the choice to work in the office part time/hybrid schedule or work from home. After a few weeks, the Real Estate office shut down temporarily due to Covid and financial reasons and it was then I decided to start my own VA Service.
I researched You Tube videos and VA websites on how to start a VA Business and then built my business website. I was very excited but a little nervous breaking away from the corporate world. I put my first ad (that I still have today) on Craigslist and in about 6 months to a year I got my first client!
I became a Virtual Assistant because I enjoy helping and supporting others and making their lives easier! I've also had an entrepreneurial spirit since childhood.
To date, I have 6 clients, including 3 - 501c's ( non-profits) I volunteer for and I appreciate every one of them!
Having my own business is both rewarding and gratifying.
I love the work I do, the flexibility and meeting new people.
